Weekly Worship 6.26.16

June 23, 2016 | Kyle Kicker | Worship,

Every week we gather on Sunday morning as the church, the body of Christ. I love spending time with our church family. It is a highlight of my week and I very much look forward to it. And though it is a fun and enjoyable time that we may have together it is much more than just a social gathering. It is a gathering with purpose. God calls us together to give him glory and honor. We do this by joining in fellowship with other believers, singing songs of praise, living in God’s Word, encouraging and admonishing each other, and through teaching and learning biblical truth together. Psalm 34:3 says “Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!” If we plan our lives and gatherings around this verse, our purpose is clear: magnify the Lord! Our goal every week is to consistently focus towards God’s glory and to exalt his name together as his church. It is my prayer that we would all have a strong desire to exalt the name of the Lord together - not only Sunday morning, but every day. Join us this Sunday in magnifying God together as his church!
